Its been a while since I have had time to post, but I have been playing and doing pretty good. I had a couple of cash losses and I'm to lazy to go back and figure out what I lost when. I have been doing pretty good in sngs and tournys though.
Last Sunday I played a couple of sngs before I was going to go out for my planned yardwork. I did well and was up about a hundo when I noticed it started raining outside. Yardwork on hold, weeeeeeeee. I notice the Sunday Million tourny is about to start and its the PS 10B Hand Special with 250K added and almost 11k players so I decided to play in my first ever Sunday Million. Things went well and I ended up going out somewhere around 360 for $1214. 1k profit on that tourny.
Since that tourny I have played a few sngs with decent results and I think only one cash session that I ended down $24 after being down over 200 at one point.
So things have been pretty good with poker and I hope to start logging more hands of 6 handed cash, probably not tonight though as tonight is the home game party.

Today: +$139.30
To date: -$96.15
Bankroll: $1903.85
190 hands *** 79 Minutes *** 21.58/14.21 ***
Had a lot better day. Not much to say other than I had a couple of nice hands that held and only one tough hand which I posted below.
Never sure what to do here. Look like a donk in a hand like this or look like a hero when the guy has AQ. He was short stacked so I think I was locked into calling his re reraise.

Bad Weekend
Bad poker weekend. Lost a little friday without much time to play. Then I got killed on Saturday. I had a guy on my left who was 74/58 and I had a lot of hands logged on him. He was just killing the whole table, especially me. Heres the numbers for the two days.

Here are a few hands from my bad session:
Not sure what I should have done here, well fold I guess but at what point, on the flop?
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1095305
These other two hands are hands a guy I know would refer to as: "I played that hand like a nagger"
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1095323
In my defense of this last hand, this guy is the 72/58 and he was floating me a lot. I picked the wrong time to make a stand, should have figured that out with the mini raise, but I was steaming at this point.

Six Hand Session
5/10/2007
Today: +$11.65
To date: +$85.25
Bankroll: $2085.25
6 hands *** 1 Minutes *** 16.67/16.67 ***
I sat down to play some cash for an hour of so before I would need to leave for my home game tourny. Just as I sat at two tables I got a call from work and my wife started yelling for me from the other room. I looked down at the screen and see that I have AKs in the sb on one of my tables. It turns out that my son hit his head on one of the end tables after falling, trying to jump from one of our couches to the other and needed to go for stitches. So that was that and my session was over in 6 hands. The good thing was, I won a few bucks on the AKs hand before I logged off and was able to post a win for the day. Bad news was, I was late for my home game tourny and never really got in a rythym, so I missed the money for the third or fourth game in a row.

126 hands *** 57 Minutes *** 28.57/18.25 ***
My first night back was a roller coaster session. I lost two big hands getting all in with KK preflop, the first one I lost to AQ when an ace flopped and I ran into AA on the other. So after being up 35 I found myself down 145. Then I got lucky and got a couple of nice hands myself. Two ace high flushes gave me the nuts going to the river with all the chips in the middle and in both hands the other player was drawing dead. I logged off after the second flush giving me a nice 70 win for the night. Nice start to my comeback.
One thing I am still struggling with is, when to log off. Like last night I logged off with the 70 win feeling good after being down 145. But when I started looking at my pokertracker stats I noticed I only played 126 hands. I'm still stuck on whether I should aim for a certain number of hands to play per night or set a goal of how much cash I would like to win in a session. Then setting my limits for how much I am going to lose before logging off without hitting those goals is another thing I will need to do once I set those factors of when I end my session. Just not sure if I want to be more structured and how to set it up or just shoot from the hip.

I'm Back
Had a GREAT weekend and decided to try and start posting again.
I started a new job at the end of January and haven't had the time to be that serious about poker. I pissed though a bunch of money not being that serious too. My bankroll was down to under a dime and it seemed like I was getting killed everytime I would play. Another reason I stopped posting. This weekend I had some time to play a little poker and I did pretty well. I have been doing pretty good for the last couple of weeks actually and my bankroll is back to almost 2 dimes. So with the good feeling of winning I decided to try and use that two grand to get serious about playing poker again.
My plan is to start playing at night when my kids go to bed and the donkeys come out. Hopefully I can build my bankroll again and keep posting.

Back from a nice break. I took some time to relax and get ready for my new job which I started today. Not sure how much poker I will play while settling into my new job, but I'm going to try playing a little every other day at least.
I was up about 140, then I came back a little later and blew a hundo out my ass. It was nice to post a win after the beating I took before my break though.

I shouldn't have even played this day. My mind was on so many other things. I found out in the morning that I was getting the new job I was interviewing for after all. I was meeting some friends downtown for dinner and drinks and I was looking forward to that. I was also real happy with poker cause my win from the day before put my ptbb/100 over 4.
But I had an hour and a half before I needed to start getting ready to go out so I figured I'd get some hands in. Here's some hands to see how bad I really was this day:
I have to fold this hand when i get raised on the flop, there's just no way my hand can be good. Only two hands I can beat here are 9s or 10s.

I liked this hand. When I got reraised here I was thinking, uh oh aces or kings. I called figuring he could have AK or a few other hands since he was playing pretty loose. After the flop I was hoping he had the aces or kings.

Of course I lost more after these three hands and was down almost 300 before I got back to down only about a hundo. Next thing I knew I was down over 200 again before I went on a heater and got back to down less than a hundo. Then this hand came up. I made a loose call here but the guy who was in that hand with me was reraising like crazy and his #s were 83/40 so I thought i could win a nice pot vs. him if i hit.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?729457
That hand put me up about 25 for the day and I was so happy I started unchecking auto-post buttons to shut down my tables and be happy posting a win after being down almost 300. Of course I lost about 20 on QQ before my tables were shut down, but I still posted a win and pulled out of the ass kicking I was taking.

Well, I had some time at night, so I played some more. Didn't feel like I played that bad, but I did give some back and only ended the day up 72. Here are a couple of hands from my later session:
I have no idea how this guy calls. Love/hate the donks i guess.

Trick hand here. Not sure if it was a good fold or not. Maybe a bad move calling the raise on the flop, thinking maybe i should have reraised or folded. Didn't feel good going to the felt with this hand. Happy I didn't go broke here, but I still think there is a good chance I had the best here.

Had a horrible day. I'm so disgusted I'm not even posting any hands. I talked to E about a few of them, but basically I had KK cracked by guy hitting guyshot on river. I played mid pair bad against a donkey when he hit set on turn. Lost with QQ vs. AA when I was all but certain he had aces, but of course I still called him down. So on and so on.
Wow, I just noticed when entering this how bad my #s were for this day. I'm starting to see that the winning days my #s are tighter and my losing days my #s are too loose. Negative for the year now. WTF.

Real bad flop for me. Then his bullshit mini raise screams set or straight so I had to fold. It seems a lot easier of a fold when looking at it now, but man its hard for me to fold bullets. I just got back on the plus after being down most of the session and was about to start shutting my tables down, when I get this hand. Not sure if there was anyway I could have gotten away from it.

A Few Bad Hands
Today: +$30.60
To date: +$105.85
Bankroll: $2105.85
464 hands *** 2.08 hours *** 3.30 PTbb/100 *** 17.67/14.22 ***
Excluding a few hands, I thought I played pretty well again today. The few hands I played bad though, I really messed up. If I could have just folded one of these hands I would have doubled my winnings for the day and had my ptbb/100 over my goal of 5.
Not sure how bad I played this one. I could have raised on flop or raised more on turn. I didn't really think I had the best hand on the river, but I didn't think he could call me if made a nice bet. I don't think a better player would have called my river bet here, but if I was a better player I would know, you can't bluff a donk.

Now this hand was just brutal. I think this blog may help my game after all, cause I really hate looking back and seeing what moron I am. I tried getting tricky and just calling in bb (first mistake), but then I call a turn bet and I call off $44 on river when there isn't anything I can even beat anymore except a bluff. Just awful.

Now this hand doesn't look quite as bad as it felt when I was playing, even though I could have saved the $20 on the river.

Day 1 - Happy New Year
Today: +$75.25
To date: +$75.25
Bankroll: $2075.25
504 hands *** 2.52 hours *** 7.47 PTbb/100 *** 16.47/12.90 ***
It was a very happy new year until the last 20 hands of this session. I felt like I was playing well and my numbers show I was playing a lot tighter than I was, during the downswing I took a couple of weeks ago. This session felt good because it was a nice steady climb, no real big winners or losers, until the end.
I ended this session when I lost a couple of hands and felt myself start to steam. The first one wasn't that bad, I called a reraise in cutoff with QQ and had to fold to a bet on the flop of AK6. The next hand hurt though. I only had about 70 hands on this player but his #'s were 65/46. Total Donk. Anyway here's the hand:

Still a good session and a nice start to the new year.
